Cardiology
Cardiology is the medical specialty in which disorders of the heart are studied, diagnosed and treated. Some of these conditions include congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease and heart failure. In addition to treating cardiovascular disease, cardiologists emphasize prevention by teaching patients how to better manage their heart conditions by making positive lifestyle changes.

Yekaterina Fayn, MD
Cardiologist Yekaterina Fayn, MD joined Kosciusko Medical Group in August 2011. Dr. Fayn earned her medical degree at Chelyabinsk State Medical Institute in Russia in 1990. In 2005, Dr. Fayn completed an internal medicine internship at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She completed both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology also at Michael Reese Hospital Medical Center in Chicago in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Dr. Fayn completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Illinois Hospital in 2010. Dr. Fayn is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear medicine. |
