Internal Medicine
Internal medicine physicians, also known as internists, are specially trained to diagnose and treat nonsurgical conditions and diseases of internal organs and systems that affect adults. Internists, who promote and help their patients maintain good overall health, focus on the entire patient instead of a particular organ system. For many patients, their internist acts as their primary care physician. Internists treat conditions in the nervous, digestive, endocrine and circulatory systems, conditions that may affect the heart, lungs, kidneys, eyes, ears and skin. In addition, internists treat high blood pressure, hypertension, heart disease and common illnesses such as the flu.

Dana L. Coates, DO
Internal medicine physician Dana L. Coates, DO joined Kosciusko Medical Group in July 1995. He earned his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri in 1988. Dr. Coates completed an internal medicine internship in 1989 at Phoenix General Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona and an internal medicine residency program at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland in 1992. Dr. Haase earned his medical degree from Des Moines School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1981. He completed his internship and residency programs at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in Southfield, MI in 1985. Dr. Haase is board certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Joining Kosciusko Medical Group in June 2003, Luan N. Nguyen, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Edison, NJ in 1999. He completed his internship and residency training at University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA in 2003. Dr. Nguyen is board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Board certified internal medicine physician, Hung T. Vo, DO joined Kosciusko Medical Group in March 2004. Dr. Vo earned his medical degree in 1990 at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Michigan Health Center in Detroit, MI in 1991. Dr. Vo completed an internal medicine residency program at Michigan Health Center in 1994 and a critical care medicine residency Detroit Medical Center in 1996.
